From bare earth to finished pool
Every project starts with a vision and ends with something extraordinary. Here's how this one came together.
Site preparation & excavation
A build of this scale demands meticulous groundwork. The site is excavated to exact dimensions, with particular attention to soil conditions and drainage to ensure the structure performs perfectly for decades.
Structural shell & brickwork
The shell of a Spanish tiled pool must be structurally immaculate — the tile finish will reveal every imperfection. We build with care, checking levels repeatedly as each course goes up.
Plumbing & circulation system
All pipework is installed before any concrete is poured over it. A pool this size requires a properly engineered circulation system to keep the water healthy and the filtration effective.
Concrete render
The rendered shell provides the substrate for the tile work. It must be perfectly flat, fully cured, and properly waterproofed before a single tile goes on.
Tiling begins — the transformation starts
This is where the project becomes something extraordinary. Each Spanish tile is individually placed, spaced, and levelled by hand. There is no machinery that can do this work properly — only skilled artisans who care about the outcome.
Coping & surrounds
The coping and surrounding paving are designed to complement the tile work — framing the pool as a complete composition rather than a structure dropped into a garden.
Detail work & grouting
The grouting is as important as the tiles themselves. Colour selection, application consistency, and joint finishing are executed with the same precision as every other stage of the build.
Surrounds nearing completion
The garden and pool area come together as a unified space. Paving, planting zones, and surrounding features are completed to create a coherent whole that frames the pool perfectly.
